On October 27, 2021 The FDA Vaccines and Related Biological Products Advisory Committee voted 17 to 0 with one abstention to recommend COVID vaccination for children ages 5-11.

Committee Member Eric Rubin stated:

"We're never going to learn about how safe this vaccine is unless we start giving it"
